Naltar is a valley close Gilgit, Hunza and Nomal, Gilgit Baltistan in the Gilgit– Baltistan area of Pakistan. Naltar is 40 km (25 mi) from Gilgit and can become to by jeeps. Naltar is a forested area known for its emotional mountain view.
Ski rivalries are held at Naltar ski resort. Naltar Bala and Naltar Pine are two towns of Naltar valley.
Naltar Pine Is at a separation of 34 kilometers (21 mi) and Naltar Bala at 40 kilometers (25 mi) from Gilgit. There is a fundamental town known as Nomal between Naltar valley and Gilgit.
ABOUT NALTAR LAKES:
There are three lakes in the Naltar valley known as ‘Bashkiri Lakes’ at a separation of 13 kilometers (8 mi) from Naltar Bala. The street from the town to the lakes is nonmetallic and restricted close by a stream all through this street originating from the mountains. In winter it is almost impossible to reach the lake through any vehicle due to the snow (10 to 15 feet high) on the road.
NALTAR HYDROPOWER PROJECTS:
As of late the legislature has built an 18 MW hydropower plant, Naltar Hydropower Plant-IV (operational since October 2007), close Naltar Pine, notwithstanding two littler hydel control creating plants (Naltar I, II of 2.28 MW joined) as of now there, to satisfy the power necessity of the territory and in addition Gilgit. Naltar-III and Naltar-V Hydropower Projects of 16 MW and 14.4 MW age limit separately are under development.
